Getting started
If you are acquainted with MediaWiki software, then you can
register an account and add to the Wiki. You will have to be approved before you are allowed to be part of this project. Please read the
privacy policy if you are concerned. If you are not familiar with MediaWiki please read this brief introduction. MediaWiki allows a community of registered users to build a web site's content. This is the idea at the root of
Open Source software. Communities building a knowledge base with a common interest. Dream Green Hawaii is definitely a common interest which needs to be shared with a community group. Building a web site using MediaWiki is the best source on the internet to do it. MediaWiki has proven itself as the leader in such endeavors. If you are not familiar with MediaWiki mark up language the
Help Page will be an invaluable source of information as well as other Dream Green members who will be happy to help. Most Wiki sites use simple, plain English, but connecting pages, uploading images and placing images on pages, putting links on pages and some other web site tricks requires MediaWiki mark up language which is unique to MediaWiki but similar to html. Security is of special concern since we obviously don't want spammers, trolls and other evil ones to mar this site. We have placed as much security as possible to prevent such evil intruders into our site and one of the security features is
registering an account to be part of building this site into a knowledge base for the Dream Green Hawaii community members.
